Science continues to uncover how certain foods play a role in supporting your body’s defenses against cancer, thanks to their unique nutrients and properties. Today, I’ll share five of the strongest foods for reducing cancer risk—and how you can incorporate them into your diet.

1. Cruciferous Vegetables
Cruciferous vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower, kale, Brussels sprouts, and cabbage are true cancer-fighting superstars. These veggies are packed with fiber, sulforaphane, and indole-3-carbinol (I3C), compounds that work in multiple ways to protect your body.
Suppress Tumor Growth: Sulforaphane has been shown to neutralize free radicals and block DNA mutations that lead to cancer. It may also arrest the growth of existing cancer cells.
